The students learn about photography, video and audio recording, production, drawing, graphic design, advertising, etc. Some of the subjects are graphic production, writing for media, advertising, commercial broadcasting, elements of film and video, principles of editing, fundamentals of animation, visualization and illustration, visual effects, etc. The students take up project work at the end of the course and they make ad films or short films. Their communication skills are polished with the course. Internships is a must for students and a degree in visual communication prepares them with all needed skills. The students are trained to use Adobe, photoshop, flash, illustrator, etc. Placements! These students after course completion can work as directors, editors, web site designers, graphic illustrators, anchors, cinematographers, photographers, ad film makers, etc. They can find opportunities in print and electronic media and they are paid an initial salary of about 3 lakhs to 7 lakhs per annum initially on an average. It depends on their skill sets.
