The South Indian recipe is for all the Idli lovers. The Kanjeevaram Idli are so famous in houses of South India. It is also very easy to make at house. The vegetarian dish is made with the help of components like grated coconut, idli batter, chana dal, green chillies, urad dal and is then tossed in ground aromatic masalas such as turmeric powder and black pepper powder.

How to prepare Kanjeevaram Idli: Step 1) Begin it by soaking the urad dal in a vessel of water for some minutes. Then drain the water & put the dal in a grinder jar. Pour a slight water to the jar & grind it on a high speed for some seconds until you achieve a course paste. When done put this paste to a different vessel. Next, take a chopping board & chop green chilies on it. Step 2) In a vessel, drop idli batter & combine the urad dal batter in it. Put a pan with moderate flame & pour oil in it. When the oil is hot, drop chana dal, turmeric, curry leaves, grated coconut, ginger, asafoetida, green chillies, pepper & salt. Stir fry for around three to four mins & pour the mixture in the batter we made above. Drop salt & stir finely. Switch off the gas knob post two mins. Step 3) Then, grease the idli plates & fill the cavities with mixture we prepared. Put this idli mould in a big pressure cooker half filled with water & steam the batter for fifteen to twenty mins. After the idlis are cooked, demould & have it hot with chutney and sambar.
